Exposed Acne Treatment – Does It Work? – Survey Results

In this Exposed acne treatment review we shall be looking deeper into this range of products and ‘exposing’ any shortcomings they might have. Weird name for a product brand but we won’t hold that against them.

What Is The Exposed Acne Treatment System?

The whole range consists of nine products at the time of writing all available individually, and three separate kits comprising of 5,6, or all 9 items. There is quite a saving when buying a kit rather than purchasing each product separately, although I would venture to say not all the products are required for successful treatment.

The Exposed Range Of Products:

  • Facial Cleanser
    Clearing Tonic
    Acne Treatment Serum
    Clear Pore Serum
    Derm-X Cloth
    Moisture Complex
    Microderm Scrub
    Clarifying Mask
    Probiotic Complex

Contents Of The 5 – Part Kit:

  • Facial Cleanser
  • Clearing Tonic
  • Acne Treatment Serum
  • Clear Pore Serum
  • Derm-X Cloth

The 6 part kit is the same as the 5 part, but contains a bottle of the Moisture Complex moisturiser.
The The Ultimate 9-Piece Kit contains everything.

Facial Cleanser
Perhaps surprisingly the Exposed facial cleanser does not contain Benzoyl Peroxide or Salycylic acid ast the active ingredients, it uses alpha hydroxy, beta hydroxy and citric acids instead, as well a heap of natural ingredients, this should be a good cleansing lotion for those who have sensitive skin and find both B.P. and S.A. too harsh to use.
Obviously it is formulated for acne users it will not clog the pores and is hypoallergenic.

Clearing Tonic
The Exposed Clearing Tonic contains a mild 1% concentration of Salycylic acid and is used prior to the application of the Exposed acne treatment serum. Also contains lots of natural extracts which help keep the skin clear of blackheads.

Acne Treatment Serum
This is the main component of the Exposed acne treatment and this product does contain Benzoyl Peroxide at a low 3.5% concentration as well as nautral tea tree oil.

Clear Pore Serum
The Exposed Clear Pore Serum is for use at night before bed, it is a light gel that penetrates pores and gets to work on pimples and blackheads while you are asleep. It contains a mild 1% S.A. solution and lots of natural plant extracts including Gren Tea.

Derm-X Cloth
Derm-X is a microfiber cloth that is made especially for skin exfoliation to help keep the skin clear of dead skin

Moisture Complex
From what I can make out from from the huge chemical names like cyclopentasiloxane (?) this moisturiser seems to have silicon compounds in it as well as natural plant extracts, so based on that it should do a good job of holding the skin’s moisture in.
This product is not included in the 5 part kit, but any good moisturiser will do.

Microderm Scrub
Exposed Microderm Scrub is an exfoliate and uses tiny particles of Aluminium Oxide to remove dead skin cells, you know it’s going to work well because larger particles are used in industrial abrasives! Contains many other natural extracts to leave the skin clean and smooth.

Clarifying Mask
The Exposed Clarifying Mask contains sulfur and Resorcinol, it removes dirt and impurities and gets rid of excess oil, assists in the prevention of blackheads, whiteheads and pimples as well as reducing acne already present. Use it a couple of times a week for best results

Probiotic Complex
The Exposed Probiotic Complex is a probiotic supplement  that is taken internally.
In case you are wondering what a Probiotic is, they are live microorganisms that may confer a health benefit by the consumer, like those health drinks you see advertised on TV.
As yet it is medically unproven whether they are any good for acne, but research is ongoing.

Does Exposed Acne Treatment Work?

Based on the results of my own research I have to say it does, I always prefer user-reviews as a yardstick because it is impossible to manipulate the overall results.

These results are sampled from 460 user reviews, and offers plenty of evidence that the Exposed acne treatment system actually works for many people, there is a huge margin of good versus bad comments and very few in the middle.
If you are looking to start treating your acne then think about giving this one a try, it is certainly one of the best over the counter acne treatments.

    Negative user rating 8%

How Much Does The Exposed System Cost?

Typical prices for the for the complete are:

5 part kit $60
6 part kit $70
Ultimate kit $105

Individual products will cost more if bought singularly so the kits work out cheaper.

Where To Buy?
The cheapest deals are usually to be found online rather than in stores, especially if you can find a coupon code or use a discount site like It is possible to buy direct but you might regret doing that.
